“Untitled (GROWTH, for Mike and Julia)”
---
Current Exhibitions:
“An Exchange with Sol Lewitt” at MASS MoCA. January 23 to March 31. The project was curated by Regine Basha. Pablo Helguera and I collaborated on a work together which consists of a set of books by the nouveau roman author Alain Robbe-Grillet contained in a custom-built archival box. The work is a perpetual gift. The work will be picked up after the exhibition by a young artist. That artist will pass the work on whenever they choose, ad infinitum. A document recording this exchange accompanies the books and case.
A catalog of the exhibition will be published by Cabinet later this year.
“Twice Removed: A Survey of Take-Away Work” at Golden Age, Chicago. January 28 to March 6. This show was organized by Karly Wildenhaus and features two works from my collection of art ephemera. An untitled stack work by Felix Gonzalez-Torres in collaboration with Christopher Wool that I took from the Printed Matter Art Book Fair in 2009 and a printed page from an untitled 1970 piece by Lawrence Weiner which was on display in “Lawrence Weiner: AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE” at the Whitney in 2007/8.
A catalog is to be printed with Golden Age.
“Follow-ed (After Hokusai),” curated by Michalis Pichler and Tom Sowden at the Winchester Gallery, Winchester, UK. January 24 to March 25. This exhibition includes my book “A LOT” as an addition to a collection of artist’s books which respond to those of Ed Ruscha.
